In August 2017, The Fountain Centre was developed into a four story, 152 bed student accommodation facility.
Located in the heart of bustling Rondebosch Main, close to major transport routes and key universities like UCT and Varsity College.
Fountain Rez has been cleverly designed through an ideal fusion of form and function. The building includes study lounges, pause areas, rooftop entertainment and a pool table. The building is intelligently integrated with Rondebosch Main Shopping Centre, this conveniently complemented by easy-to-access undercover parking bays and street-side pop-up cafés and restaurants. Our mixed used student accommodation development resonates strongly with the live, work and play theme that is currently on trend across residences.

Nando’s Drive Thru was completed in December 2014. The development and parking modifications at N1 Value Centre further strengthened the trade within the precinct improving the overall shopping experience for all visitors.
Development started for International Brand, Burger King in early March 2017. The double storey Drive-Thru building work was completed in early July 2017 with trade commencing soon thereafter. This is the third International take-away brand within the Cape Gate Precinct, further solidifying the node as a destination for the local community.
Pet World broke ground in Cape Gate Lifestyle Centre in 2018. Pet World is the biggest one-stop-pet shop with branches in Johannesburg, Cape Town and an online store. They deliver across South Africa and offer the widest range of pet food, toys, treats and more. We were pleased to welcome them to our Cape Gate Lifestyle Centre in 2018.

In 2010 the site underwent a revamp by partially demolishing the existing site, extending the forecourt and adding a KFC drive-thru, ATM’s and line shops while trading continuously.
Today, the site continues to grow. In 2019 we added with a Spar Xpress and Vida e Café.
Renovation of Rondebosch Main’s first floor included a brand new 1224sqm Zone Fitness Gym which opened in January 2018. The arrival of Zone Fitness brought new shops and restaurants to the centre when the extension was completed. The gym is big draw card with students from Fountain Rez who can pop in for a workout at any time of the day or night. Rondebosch Main now has so much more to offer in the neighborhood.

FPG Property Fund secured Woolworths Food and Zone Fitness as two additional anchor tenants for Capricorn Square Shopping Centre after almost two years of planning and co-ordinating. Completion in end 2016, the centre grew by approximately 5000 m² taking the total gross lettable area to approximately 10000 m².
Other line shops included in the development was Capitec Bank, Ackermans, Romans Pizza, King Pie, KFC, Pep and Clicks.
